Completed in the 1850’s, the San Francisco Plantation is one of Louisiana’s most opulent structures. During a guided tour of this National Historic Landmark, you’ll admire the hand-painted art adorning the walls, floors, and ceilings, and learn about the lives that plantation’s owners and slaves led from the 1850’s into the 20th century. All 14 rooms, plus a museum covering the facility’s slave operations, invite you to discover and explore.
