New Orleans Hotels &
The Valentino Family Story

The Valentino family of New Orleans has welcomed visitors to the French Quarter for over 60 years. Native New Orleanians committed to personal service and customer satisfaction, Valentino Hospitality boast legions of loyal repeat guests. The hotels are among the most popular in the city, consistently rated in the top 20, and their restaurants and sightseeing services are must-do’s for any New Orleans visit.

The Valentino Family founding members include Anthony & Mary Ann Valentino and their 7 children. With next generations there are now 52 total family members, 14 of whom work in the various businesses every day, insuring local oversight, care and attention to visitor satisfaction. The family lodging tradition started in 1958 with a 19 room motel and has now evolved into 7 hotels (650 guest rooms), 3 restaurants and 2 sightseeing operations located in the historic French Quarter, the old Southern Railway Station, the Central Business District and Uptown New Orleans. 3 new hotel projects are in the works.

The Place d’Armes Hotel at Jackson Square is the most historic of the hotels, with 7 separate buildings (oldest circa 1890) surrounding a lush courtyard and swimming pool. The Hotel St. MariePrince Conti Hotel and French Market Inn are additional French Quarter locations just off Bourbon St. and the Mississippi River. The newest Brakeman Hotel is located on the edge of the French Quarter at Basin St. Station, the old Southern Railway building.

The Bombay Club Martini Bar & Restaurant in the Prince Conti Hotel is a must-stop on any French Quarter visit -as is- Vacherie Restaurant & Bar in the Hotel St. Marie.

Basin St. Station is the old Southern Railway Freight & Baggage building on the edge of the French Quarter on famous Basin St. From that location, Valentino Hospitality offers the Brakeman Hotel and is the exclusive operator of Cemetery Tours for the Archdiocese of New Orleans in St. Louis Cemetery #1 across the street, most famous as the burial site of Voodoo Priestess Marie Laveau. And no better way to learn about the geography and colorful history of New Orleans than aboard an open-top double-decker Hop-On Hop-Off motorcoach with a City Sightseeing New Orleans live guide, another Valentino Hospitality gem – great for first timers – fun for New Orleans know-it-alls.

Whether lodging, dining, or sightseeing, Valentino Hospitality offers high-quality products and services at very moderate rates, all committed to your satisfaction.
