This little house was moved several blocks from its original location downtown in 1900 using mules and logs and has since been a family home, a flower shop, and now the Blue Moon Guest House. The Guest House is a cozy and friendly place to rest your head while meeting other travelers from around the world. The staff here is friendly and always eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The house offers free internet, a stocked kitchen, a/c units in each room, free admission to the Saloon and a beer for all guests over 21, phone usage, book exchange, coin operated laundry, street parking, and coffee in the morning. There are 4 different private rooms in the house to choose from ranging in price from $70 to $90. In addition to the private spaces, there are also shared rooms. For the most bang for your buck, the hostel-style dorm beds are just $18 per night.

The Blue Moon Saloon is located on the back porch of the Guest House. Open Wednesday-Saturday and the occasional Sunday, this intimate setting is a great place to meet locals and travelers alike, as well as hear a variety of music genres up close and personal. Every Wednesday night there is an all acoustic and informal Cajun Jam on the back porch. All are welcome, no matter what skill level. Any given week patrons are likely to experience acts such as Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Feufollet, Roddie Romeo and the Hub City All-Stars, Pine Leaf Boys, or Cedric Watson et Bijou Creole. From Cajun, to Country, Zydeco, Blues, Funk, or rock 'n' roll, the Blue Moon Saloon is home to a great variety of music any weekend you stop by.
