The free festival spotlights local and touring acts performing Louisiana Roots music, Blues, Traditional Jazz, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Spirituals and more. Parking is free but limited; park outside town and bike the Tammany Trace to the park!
Now in its eighth year, the Busker Festival was established to preserve and present Louisiana Roots music and has grown in popularity with each passing year. With support from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Foundation, the festival will again be streamed live by New Orleans' listener-supported, commercial-free radio station, WWOZ - 90.7FM, a central promoter of Louisiana music around the world at www.wwoz.org.
Music is presented by the Abita Opry and Abita Springs Trailhead Museum coordinates food, crafts booths, and festival fun. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
The artist lineup will be announced as the event nears.
