Fall for Art
Oct 12, 2019

Produced by St. Tammany Art Association, the annual event draws thousands of patrons who come out to enjoy the live music, art demonstrations, performances and dining in dozens of locations. Live music for the event will be announced in late September. A map and schedule of performances will be available at participating businesses and at www.sttammanyartassociation.org. Follow STAA on Facebook for up-to-date information, and for information on the featured exhibit at the Art House. The free event showcases new works and one-night-only shows at Covington's art galleries and dozens of downtown shops, all by regional and nationally-renowned artists. Enjoy an evening of live music at multiple locations, indoors and out, art demonstrations, dance, and other special performances, and shopping at any of dozens of couture fashion boutiques, antique and home furnishings shops, and more. Entertainment at past festivals has included aerial sling belly dance, ballet and modern dance performances, pottery and glass-blowing demonstrations and more. Children will enjoy hands-on art-making activities. Long known for its stellar dining scene, Covington is home to a combination of several fine dining restaurants with award-winning chefs as well as bistros and cafés with lighter fare. Round out the evening with dancing and drinks at the town's nightspots, such as Columbia Street Rockin' Blues, Wharton's, Columbia Street Tap Room and Seiler Bar, and others. More Info
