Notes for Education Northshore presents the 5th Annual Slidell Jazz & Blues Festival, to be held November 2, 2019, from 3pm to 10pm in Slidell's Heritage Park. The festival presents outstanding live music by top regional acts. This a family-friendly festival, too, with a kids' zone, as well as an art market, and of course food and beverages by local restaurants. The mission of the Slidell Jazz and Blues Festival is to promote and support Jazz & Blues in Southeastern Louisiana and the cultural, musical, and artistic enrichment of the Northshore community. Funds generated will support a local program called Notes For Education Northshore, which supports local music education, provides musical instruments for students and/or provides music grants or scholarships to local young musicians.
