Steamy Scream

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart dry red wine
  • 2 ounces praline syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves, whole
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 lemon, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced, in all 

Instructions:

  1. Pour the wine into a large pot and begin heating over low heat
  2. As it begins to warm, add sugar, praline syrup, and spices
  3. Stir until sugar is dissolved
  4. Add brandy, heat thoroughly, but do not boil
  5. Add orange slices
  6. Steep for about 1 hour over low heat
  7. You may add more sugar during this time if desired
  8. Serve hot and garnish with remaining orange slices
