Lower Atchafalaya River Sprint Canoe & Kayak Race
Join in on the river race, or enjoy being a spectator, at the Annual Lower Atchafalaya River Sprint Canoe & Kayak Race. Embark on a series of three-mile races for kayaks (includes canoes) with prize money for first, second, third, and fourth places in each of four racing classes.

Tour du Teche 135
There are races, and then there’s the Tour du Teche 135. This annual race for cones, kayaks, pirogues, and stand-up paddle boards takes you along the entire length of the Bayou Courtableau and the Atchafalaya River for a total of 135 miles. The three-day event starts on the first Friday in October and includes two classes: pro (for the fastest boats and paddlers) and recreational.
